Decanter Success for Hawkers Hill

We were absolutely thrilled to find out that both our white wines - Solaris and Bacchus - were awarded Silver Medals at the Decanter World Wine Awards! Fitting timing given that it's English Wine Week this week.

As a small, hands-on operation with limited production, we chose to focus our efforts solely on the Decanter Awards - the gold standard in our eyes - and we’re over the moon to have been recognised. We're pretty chuffed that we're Norfolk's top performing estate this year too. 

So what did Decanter say about our whites:

Bacchus Fume 2023

90 points

Exotic tropical fruit, banana, complemented by plenty of green fruit, citrus and creamy oak characteristics. Silky palate with bruised apple finish.

Solaris 2023

90 points

Broad character on the nose with smoke and flinty minerality and plenty of fruit character, nice touch of tropical fruit, with freshness on the finish.
