Harvest 2024
Share
This year Mother Nature has reminded us just who is in charge.
2023 was a bumper crop, but the same cannot be said of 2024. A milder winter, April frosts, a poor flowering season and a wet ripening season presented us with all sort of challenges and definitely kept us on our toes.
When we did finally harvest the grapes over the course of October, we knew to expect volumes to be significantly down, and we were proved right.
Solaris, Bacchus and Precoce Pinot Noir were harvested with thanks to our crew of local helpers who were rewarded with a hearty breakfast afterwards. Vinification is now underway and we await the finished wines next year.
