Winning at Decanter

Winning at Decanter

When we started out with Hawkers Hill back in 2016 we knew we wanted to produce wines we were proud to call our own, that spoke of the Norfolk terroir, and that would be wines we would drink ourselves.

Our first vintage, in 2019, was so small, just 100 bottles so we weren't in a position to vinify the grapes as single estate wines, so these had to be vinified along with our neighbours grapes. So, in reality it wasn't until the 2020 harvest that we had enough grapes to become our very own Hawkers Hill.

So we were thrilled, that a mere two years later our Solaris 2022 should become a Silver medal winning wine in arguably the most prestigious wine competition in the world, Decanter World Wine Awards in 2024, standing proud amongst the great wines of the world.

Only 600 bottles of Solaris were produced, so understandably the wines proved popular and were quick to sell out. But this award served to highlight that we are on the right track and that great wines can be borne out of passion, dedication and all that Mother Nature gives us.

We are also pleased that our Bacchus 2022 also scooped Bronze in Decanter.
