Hawkers Hill Pinot Noir 2023

Our Pinot Noir is Pinot Noir Precoce, an early ripening (in relative terms!!) Pinot Noir, that like Solaris and Bacchus is well suited to our soils in Norfolk.

Light ruby in colour with bright clarity and a slight garnet hue. Aromas of fresh red fruits such as raspberry, strawberry and cherry, with a delicate floral note. There are subtle hints of earthiness and spice. Smooth and silky in texture, bright and fresh, with juicy red fruits flavours – again strawberry and raspberry, but also a little cranberry. The touch of spice adds depth. Tannins are soft making this a surprisingly easy-drinking drop.  

Food matching: We think this Hawkers Hill Pinot Noir makes a great match for roast chicken, grilled veg and soft cheeses. 

Winemaking: Fermented on skins for 2 weeks then pressed into tank before being aged in Hungarian oak for 8 months, filtered prior to bottling.
